Imbolc Greeting Cards
This is the selection of cards I have chosen for the season of Imbolc 2015 (February – April). Please click on the photo to see the whole image. You can order cards from my Etsy shop . Cards are $3.25 each (please order by the code number which appears when you click the image in the shop) or $15.00 for a set of six (please choose Set One, Set Two or Set Three — or create your own set of six). Up to 24 cards can be shipped priority mail for a flat rate of $5.90. Other shipping options are available for smaller or larger amounts. The spring quarter begins with St Brigid’s or St. Bride’s Day, one of the four fire festivals of the year. It is the time of the Maiden, the season which honors poetry, healing, and the skill of the midwife who stands at the threshold to welcome emerging life.
Spiritually, it is a time to receive insight and inspiration, to seek clarity, and to commit to justice in the purest sense: a revelation and practice of right relationship.
For the floral images, I have chosen spring blossoms, spring gardens, and an Easter basket of daffodils and ivy hung on a church door.
Set One
Set Two
The second set of images focuses on thresholds and gateways from many different landscapes and cultures. As we lean forward into this time of new birth, thresholds beckon us to risk and change.
Set Three
The third set of images is comprised of spiritual mentors and guides, including a Russian icon of Mary Magdalene — the first evangelist, an angel from the Cathedral in Cork (Ireland), St. Brigid (Bride) from Beara, Eve and Adam — representing self-differentiation, the teacher and evangelist Mark, and a very young sparrow.
Prints
Prints of any of my photographs are available in either 5″ x 7″ (for $18.00) or 8″ x 10″ (for $25.00). Some prints are also available in the 11″ x 14″ size for $45.00 and in 12″ x 18″ or 16″ x 20″ sizes (price on request). Prints will be shipped matted in a complementary color.
