Lughnasadh Greeting Cards
This is the selection of cards I have chosen for the season of Lughnasadh (August – October). Please click on the photo to see the whole image. You can order cards from my Etsy shop . Cards are $3.25 each (please order by the code number which appears when you click the image in the shop) or $15.00 for a set of six (please choose Set One, Set Two or Set Three — or create your own set of six). Up to 24 cards can be shipped priority mail for a flat rate of $5.90. Other shipping options are available for smaller or larger amounts. The autumn quarter honors the self-sacrifice of the sun god (Lugh), who sends his life force into the grain, filling it with strength for the creatures of the earth. The feast of Lammas (loaf-mass) includes the baking of the first loaves made from the new crop. This is the time of year when we also acknowledge the mature mentors who have shared their life force with us. We express gratitude for the stability and good judgment they have shared, and for the encouragement they provide as we ripen into maturity.
The autumn spiritual guides include St Non with the infant St David from Wales, an Owl – a detail from a fiber piece, a New Mexican Madonna, St. Francis from Santa Fe, Maize Mother — another fiber piece, and a Druid from Ireland.
For the autumn floral images, I have chosen a sunflower, succulents, heirloom tomatoes and cauliflower in a heavenly purple as a nod to the harvest, an acorn (a detail from a fiber piece), and an impression of Colorado aspens turning gold.
The landscapes include a zen garden, an ancient stone circle, a maple tree on fire, a New England barn, a cairn from the Burren, and a long-lived vine growing gracefully around a window — all reflecting on the power of wisdom and balance

Prints of any of my photographs are available in either 5″ x 7″ (for $18.00) or 8″ x 10″ (for $25.00). Some prints are also available in the 11″ x 14″ size for $45.00 and in 12″ x 18″ or 16″ x 20″ sizes (price on request). Prints will be shipped matted in a complementary color.
