Samhain Greeting Cards 2015-2016
This year I am providing three sets of holiday cards for the season of Samhain (November -January). Please click on each photo to see the whole image. You can order cards from my Etsy shop . Cards are $3.25 each (please order by the code number which appears when you click the image in the shop) or $15.00 for a set of six (please choose Set One, Set Two or Set Three — or create your own set of six). Up to 24 cards can be shipped priority mail for a flat rate of $5.90. Other shipping options are available for smaller or larger amounts. The winter season of Samhain is also the start of the ancient Irish year….any of the sets of cards below can carry greetings in celebration of the New Year.
Set One: Bonsai
Set Two: Madonnas
These Madonnas were created across the ages and represent many different impressions of the tender relationship between Mary and her son. In order, a Chinese Madonna in stone from St Mary’s Cathedral (St Paul), a Russian icon c. 1700, a recent carving in St David’s Cathedral (Wales), a wall fresco from Santa Casa in the Loretto in Prague, a small statue from Chalice Well in Glastonbury, and finally a Mexican Madonna from the Cathedral in Santa Fe.
Set Three: Angels
Whether you believe in guardian angels or not, angels appear in abundance in both scripture and art. This set of six comes from all over the globe. In order, they are a Russian icon c.1700, a stone carving from the Chalice Well, an icon of the Angel at the Tomb, the ceiling in Cork Cathedral, a Russian shrine c. 1800, and one of the Clarke windows in Killaloe (Ireland).

Prints
Prints of any of many of my photographs are available in either 5″ x 7″ (for $18.00) or 8″ x 10″ (for $25.00). Some prints are also available in the 11″ x 14″ size for $45.00 and in 12″ x 18″ or 16″ x 20″ sizes (price on request). Prints will be shipped matted in a complementary color.
